What is Sunbehm?
Sunbehm is a trusted home service provider for busy professionals, snowbirds, seasonal lake homeowners, and older adults seeking both home help and home watch services — all with one goal in mind: being the local contact that you can trust and rely on to care for you and your home.
Are you a house sitter service?
We are not house sitters. Our core service includes periodic visits to your home where we follow a specific and mutually agreed upon checklist. Our inspection process can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the scope of the property. We ALWAYS wear shoe covers upon entering a home because we take great pride in being respectful to our clients by leaving the home the same as when we arrived.
Are you a home inspector?
Although we have completed home inspector training through the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), we do not operate as a traditional home inspector would completing real-estate transactions. Foundational knowledge and skills gained during this training is applied to every home watch and aging in place visit.
Do you provide keyholder services?
Absolutely! We can coordinate access to your property for any situation at an hourly rate. All we need is your notification of the date and time and any instructions you have.
Sunbehm will provide access services and remain on-site for an hourly charge. We ask for at least a 48 hours notification to schedule our personnel.
What is Home Watch?
Home watch is an inspection performed weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly using a proactive, preventative approach to help mitigate risks and address potential issues before they become costly problems. Every home watch visit includes a thorough report sent via email to provide you with valuable information about your home while you are away. You will stay informed about your property and have a local contact if you need anything during your stay away.
My alarm company provides security for my home. What value do you add?
An alarm company monitors entry into your home or a fire alarm but does not monitor potential problems such as broken pipes, mold, pests, or squatters. We identify those problems or the possibility of their occurrence and notify you for guidance.
What type of reporting can I expect from you?
When you choose Sunbehm as your Home Watch professional, you can expect comprehensive and timely reporting after each of our visits. Our reports cover a wide range of important aspects concerning your home’s well-being, including potential issues like pests, mold, water intrusion, and much more. Each report is meticulously prepared and sent directly from our work phone or tablet immediately after our visit. You will receive this report in a convenient PDF format via email, allowing you to access it whenever and wherever you need. If your property includes a dock and boat, we will also conduct thorough inspections of those areas, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. Our aim is to provide you with all the pertinent information necessary to make informed decisions about your home, empowering you to take proactive measures in maintaining its health and safety.
Our community has a neighborhood watch program. Why are you better than my neighbors?
Most neighborhood watch programs are passive by nature and do not provide the level of engagement with your property that Sunbehm provides. We will check your property’s interior and exterior in far more detail than you can expect from a neighborhood watch program.
