Sunbehm Sunbehm Home Watch & Concierge was founded by Cory Behm, a lifelong Minnesotan with a deep appreciation for the lakes, the seasons, and the community that makes this area special.
Cory and his wife, Benita, met during college and have built a beautiful life together in the Lakes Area. In 2026, they will celebrate 10 years of marriage, raising their two children, Broox and Raylin, to value the same small-town camaraderie that brought them here.
From One Lakes Area to Another
Growing up in Willmar, Cory always felt at home near the water. But when it came time for the Behm family to put down their own roots, they looked north. With family in Willmar and in-laws in Greenbush, Detroit Lakes became the perfect “middle ground” to build a life.
We are proud to be a family that chose this community. We didn’t just end up here; we fell in love with the area’s beauty and small-town camaraderie during our travels and decided to make it our permanent home. Today, we are fully committed to serving the neighbors and neighborhoods that welcomed us in.
Deep Experience in Construction & Care
Cory’s professional path has always been hands-on and people focused. Before entering the trades, he served as a CNA in a nursing home—a formative experience he credits with shaping him as a person and instilling a deep respect for serving others.
Carrying that commitment forward, he spent his early years in construction as a residential service plumber, gaining a deep understanding of home systems while serving homeowners directly.
From there, he moved into professional property maintenance, managing facilities for a large-scale resort on the North Shore of Lake Superior and a senior living community in Woodbury, MN.
This unique blend of compassionate service and technical expertise gives Sunbehm a distinct advantage: Cory isn’t just looking at your home; he knows how it works. From
spotting the early signs of a plumbing leak to understanding the nuances of HVAC systems during a deep Minnesota freeze, Cory’s “trained eye” ensures your property is always in safe hands.

Sunbehm Home Watch was born from a clear need in the Detroit Lakes area: busy professionals, seasonal residents, and cabin owners needed a trustworthy partner to keep an eye on their biggest investment when they couldn’t be there.
Whether you are a snowbird heading south for the winter, a busy professional traveling for work, or a lake homeowner managing a property remotely, Sunbehm acts as your local advocate. We don’t just “drive by”—we provide thorough visual inspections and concierge support to ensure your property remains secure, safe, and ready for your return.

Community Commitment
Outside of managing Sunbehm, Cory serves as the Program Director of Neighbor to Neighbor in Frazee, a nonprofit 501c3 that supports adults aged 60 and older remain independent in their beloved home. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him at a local car show or out on the lake with his family.
